What is Malaysia Rank in Corruption for 2012

Transparency International said Malaysia scored worst in the 2012 Bribe Payers Survey. It asked about 3,000 executives from 30 countries whether they had lost a contract in the past year because competitors paid a bribe—and in Malaysia, 50% said yes.

Even Indonesia, with a long-standing reputation for corruption, fared better than more-developed Malaysia: Southeast Asia’s largest economy came in at 47%. By comparison, 27% of respondents in China said they thought bribes had cost them business.

“Foreign companies looking to supply to the government have to be aware that they’re likely to be asked for a bribe,” Mr. Low said.

Hairdresser Limitation

This is something everyone should read it as it amaze me. I'm glad I'm not living in the town eventhough Im leaving in my country.

I do prefer males to cut my hair as they able to understand what I want and able to make my hair look even better with my untame hair. Not being bias, but we should have choice on the hairdresser we are comfortable with (female or male). I have gone to hair salon many times, yet I never have such impression where hair salons and unisex establishments are the most convenient places for immoral activities. If the hairdress is extremely good one and highly recommend, it is quite a loss to forgo his/her talent and make more ladies/men feel confident with her/his improved hairstyle.

As I remember long time ago, they mentioned the Islamic rulings only apply to their own ppl, but they now try to impose to everyone (including Non-Muslim) is an excuse that it  create illicit activities ?

If a person intend to set up an immortal activities, they will be always find ways to have a brothel behind the public eye.

Baby got dent...

Lately I seen several car accidents and I even got myself into a silly accident. Where I reversed my car without looking careful at the rear mirror. Thank goodness I hit a pillar rather a human being.  When I saw the dent, I was just laughing and smiling over the damage for the whole day. I only feel a bit upset on next day. Weird huh!! I have a slow reponse to certain bad news like this.

Actually I was tired exhausted and drive in blank mind. People frequently say "Don't Drink and Drive", for myself....I categories myself as "Don't Drive when Overhausted".

I thought it is will cost me a bomb, but thank goodness the mechanic took 3 solid hours to repair the damage and repaint the car like new with less than MYR100. It is quite a good deal eventhough it is pretty time-consuming lesson. Phew!!

Property purchased but get conned

SHAH ALAM: Five property agents have conned at least 400 people into buying non-existent houses priced between RM150,000 and RM280,000.

Some of the victims were eventually declared bankrupt by the banks for not settling any of their payment.

Apparently, they had paid about 10% deposit to the property agents and signed the agreement without the presence of lawyers.

Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah said the victims had booked the houses during a property fair in Kuala Lumpur in 2006.

After waiting for almost six years, he said 138 victims decided to file a report against the agents.

“A check showed that the supposed projects in Meru, Klang and Banting do not exist at the mentioned location,” he said yesterday.

The victims had approached the Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia (PPIM) before lodging reports at eight district police headquarters in Selangor on Sunday.

Police are also investigating the possibility of involvement of parties from local banks suspected of collaborating with the so-called agents.

DCP Tun Hisan said they had identified six banks that had approved loans for the non-existent projects.

“We are investigating if there is any element of forgery,” he said.

I'm wondering how this could happen in Malaysia continously. This make people able to con house buyers so easily. Previously when I purchased my home, my lawyer and bank lawyer will investigate the propery validity before I able to get approval for the mortage.
It is impossible to get approval of bank loan for non-existent property as the banks' lawyer suppose to investigate the property paperwork before the loan able to approve. Should banks and govt do something this issue by doing more transparency on property developers' latest property development publicly. From this news, seem local banks also not trustworthy and in the end, banks and the property developers are not affected and the victims always the house buyers. Why the protection and consumer rights in Malaysia so damn weak?

However consumers should not be greed and just book property in rush before checking on the property developers' background, financial health, previous property developed and the quality after built. It is not easy to find these information, however it is best to ask around, drive to the previous property done by them, search for any complaints by the house owners and digs as much information of the property developer as much as possible.

Of course, there are many directors do close and re-open another new property company after they created a bad name, or get blacklisted, or run away in the middle of development, and etc...

• Always find a good trustful lawyer you are comfortable with. Don't simply get a lawyer due to cheap fee offered, unless you know the lawyer well.
• Never rely solely what property developer promise you. Stick to your ground and always investigate on the property developer's financial and reputation.
• Nothing come free to you. Dont dream, wake up.
• Ask whether location of the property going to develop and drive to the place to survey it. Dont try to imagine virtually.

Malaysian Movies not living to the standard

I rarely watch local movie as most of the time, it suck big time and not sure what is the story behind.  However after many years not watching...I tried to watch this movie, give some chance as hoping Malaysian directors might have improve in producing a quality movie which able to a hit or and able to bring to higher standard .

Well, from this movie "Chow Kit"...I was shocked on what Malaysia approved such movie out. Raping like it a common thing and people are like coakroaches living in the city. If you want to justice, you need to take into your own hand. There is the 1st story where the little gal and some boys are in living dire situation and required to fend/feed themselves as their mom are prostitute or their father are drug addict. When the gal was raped...the kids went after the rapist and killed him with sticks. The overall movie, I felt letdown. What is the moral of the story? When you are born in unfortunate life, you forever brand as unfortunate and should be treat like one the rest of your life? Hey kids! You want justice?? ..You must take into your own hand? WTF!!!

Sorry as I do not want to say ill words on my country's film makers but I wish they can be more creative and able to produce a worthy and meaningful movie which able to encourage old and young generation to watch while generate healthy income to promote Malaysia.

Please do not even bring up "Mak Rempit" movies...it is even worse as it promoting ill society into young Malaysian...then blaming on Western and internet as the cause of the youngsters' bad influence. Should reflect on what they are promote indirectly to the younger generation. >,<

Try to see what Korean has done where they start the entertainment industry from nothing..just from years back...just look at where are they now.

Section 114A (Internet Network)

This is an interesting link my friend send to me, it is sound a bit silly on this section 114A, however it is best to lock your WIFI line and logout your accounts of emails or blogs and other account right after you done. I just feel pity on those cafes which provide free internet access to their customers, out of sudden they might be jailed over this act. It is sound scary actually. But if you want the country to be well advance and IT savy...why this act is occurring. Is there anyway to catch the actual person rather than pointing the one who own the line if the owner actually innocent?  hmmmmmm....sound scary to me.

Courtesy in KL dropped again

The latest appraisal by the magazine shows Kuala Lumpur almost at the bottom of a list of Least Courteous Cities at number 34 out of 36 major cities in the world.

1) A casual toss of a cigarette butt out of the window, a surreptitious flick of a candy wrapper into the corner when no one is watching.

> Yes, seen many time while stuck in the traffic jam or speeding the highway. Some even throw orange skins out especially during CNY

2) The idiots who rush into the lift as soon as the door opens, without giving the occupants a chance to exit.

> Yes, the last time happened was 2 months ago....when I even rarely go out of outside. It happen my place. Three  young morons just stand outside the life and blocking my pathway of exit...who insisting I let them in first. Seriously???

3) The shopper who changes her mind about buying the packet of choy sum in a supermarket but is too lazy to walk all the way back to the perishables section to return the item, so she stuffs that package into the rack at the nearest aisle.

> Yes, each time I go to groceries...seen many unwanted goods even the perishable/frozen ones just simply place into the rack before the cashiers. 

4) Diners with kids who drop food on the floor of a restaurant, leaving behind a mess. It's something they don't do at home but eating out gives them the licence to act like slobs

> Do not't expect the fella to clean up, but at least some of courtesy to inform the waiter/waitress about the mess. Most of frequent I seen is McDonald sundae plop on the floor and everyone stepping on it.

5) Kevin Mcintyre, a Scottish expatriate working in Kuala Lumpur, said he missed his stop on the train because people were rushing into it as he was trying to get out.

> Experience once during after working hour...everyone were pushing each other from in and out. Why those people rush in when the train is fully with people tend to get out from the train. It does prolong the time and the close train shut up. Because of that...I missed the train 3 times and late for my appointment...thats was the last time I take the train. Actually those LRT staff should make announcement before the train arrive as reminder to the passengers to let the other passengers to exit first before getting into the train as Malaysian need to be told what to do for now....

The things I have not seen but I have done so far...yet some people asking why I'm nice when not needed to be. Well... I choose to be la...and make me feel happy and unselfish time to time. To me, some people consider nice to strangers are odd. Seriously...it is who you are....you should not categories who you should be nice or not.

1)  Signalling to the driver who is looking for a parking bay where your car is parked so that he can take your spot.

> Done many times to others as I get so annoyed with those people who walk coolly into their cars and pretend you are invisible when you looking for a car park like mad person.

2) Picking up an item for the stranger who dropped it.

> Some people are grateful and thank me for picking up. Some people just take from me and say "Ohhh" and walk away.

Shooting spree

Businessman shot 4 times by gunman KUALA LUMPUR:
A 53-year-old coffee shop owner was shot four times while waiting for his workers in front of his premise in Happy Garden, Old Klang Road on Friday. Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid said the victim was smoking a ciggerate in his car when a man in a Proton Waja pulled over and fired four shots at the victim in the 10.30pm incident. All the shots hit him. It is learnt that the victim despite being injured in the shooting managed to get the registration number of the get-away car. The victim however stopped his car when the suspect who realised  he was followed, reversed his car and fired another two shots at the victim before speeding away. It is not known if any of the latest shots hit the victim. The victim was sent to University Malaya Medical Centre by his workers for treatment. Wan Bari said the case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for murder attempt.

This case happen just few block away from my home. I even had my dinner at the cafe 2 months ago. The ground floor is the cafe, while upper floor is flower decorating classes by the same owner. The owner is chatty and extremely friendly to all his customers who come to his shop to eat. I cannot believe someone attempt to kill him, I wonder why this criminal action taken? As from the neighborhood, everyone knows he is nice chap. Just a shocker....as people easily offend and will make crazy action...what for??? What is the valid reason for all this?? When this incident happen, a friend happen to be there. When he saw what happen, he ran for his life as he fear the shooter will return. He is still traumatized from it as he is just pass-by at the wrong time and place. As I know, more shooting cases also occurring quite frequent lately too. Why cannot talk out man to man? Why need to hire assassin as the solution?
