Do Business without accepting gifts

EPF employees barred from giving or accepting gifts

KUALA LUMPUR: Employees Provident Fund's (EPF) 5,200 employees nationwide have been barred from giving and accepting gifts from external parties in relation to official duties with immediate effect.
"The implementation of the 'No Gift Policy' will help to avoid conflict of interest and demonstrate EPF's commitment to provide equal treatment to all that we are in contact with for our business," said EPF Chief Executive Officer Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan.
"External parties are discouraged from offering gifts of any kind to any EPF employee and vice-versa, not only during the festive period but at all times when dealing with the EPF," he added.

The EPF is among the first government agencies to implement the policy to uphold good corporate governance and in keeping with best business practices. - Bernama

As many companies has been implement this policy. This is a good start to prevent bribery in long term, and make people more confident in govt agencies in near future. However it is quite tricky to justify gifts given.
