Currently those states put Friday and Saturday as rest day are Kedah, Kelantan and Terrenganu. Starting from Jan 1 2014, Johor will follow suit.
However the banks in Johor will remain Saturday and Sunday as rest day as said by ABM (The Association of Banks in Malaysia). Actually not all business at suitable to have rest day on Friday as they are conflict in business point of view especially it is a MNC or a company dealing with oversea business.
I hope Kuala Lumpur will remain the rest as Saturday and Sunday as it is now.

YES!! Selangor will remain the rest day as it is. All his reasons are totally 100% valid and make sense.
